CONSULTING ENGINEERS SINCE 1991

Mike Sydney has been in the consulting industry for the past 54 years. The consulting practice known as Mike Sydney & Associates was formed in January 1991. Prior to this Mike was employed by a number of consulting practices in the Durban area doing work on industrial, residential and commercial projects in various capacities.

The practice has been in business for over 28 years and has completed a number of projects in simplex/duplex, multi-storey, residential and commercial developments in Amanzimtoti, Hillcrest, Ramsgate and Durban. Among the many projects undertaken, the rebuilding of Town View development in Mooi River for department of housing is testament to what can be produced from our office. We also have overseen many of the private homes in Illovo Township at the other end of the scale. We have completed Multi Million rand projects for Multi Storey complexes and business properties, one of our “Monuments” is an R8 million home on St Winifred beach front.

  • South African Institute of Civil Engineers
  • Institute of Professional Engineering Technologists.
• Colin Sydney has been with the practice for over 10 years, his function being that of a general Project Manager.
• Maryan Govindasamy has been with the practice for over 20 years, she is the Financial Director. She has had 25 years experience in office and financial management companies. She is thus the most efficient in her everyday tasks within her area of expertise.
